How to comfort your partner after the election

The traditional ways of offering comfort — “It’ll all work out.” “It’s all for the best.” — tend to be painfully dismissive.

If your partner is struggling after the US election (and I’m right there too), then offering these words could actually make things worse for them.

I don’t want you or your partner to have to go through that.

And that’s why I put together this short video on what to say instead.

It’ll show you how to offer meaningful support AND help your partner process their emotions in way that’s healthy and healing.
