We love the principles of Nonviolent Communication (NVC), which is a way of thinking and speaking that helps us connect more deeply with ourselves and with others.
A fundamental assumption in NVC is that everyone is motivated by the same universal human needs. And, feelings arise when needs are met or not met. By connecting to the feelings and needs that underlie behavior (through empathy), we can experience more compassion and understanding with ourselves and with others.
